Bonita “Bonnie” J. Porter, age 69 of Medina passed away November 5, 2017. She was born May 4, 1948 in Elyria, OH to the late Gerald & Leona (Karnes) Flint. Bonnie worked as a gemologist at Jared’s and she was an active member at First Christian Church in Medina. But, above all else Bonnie will always be remembered as someone who deeply cherished all of her friends and family.
Bonnie is survived by her children David (Paula) Brooks, Amy Palmer, Jeff (Donna) Porter, Amy Paluscak; grandchildren Brandon, Paige, Presley, Tasha, Katie, Josh, & Jenna; brother Jerry (Marge) Flint; as well as her former husband Arthur (Donna) Brooks.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Porter, as well as her parents.
A funeral service for Bonnie will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. Rev. Laura Fitt-Baird. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 4797 Sharon Copley Rd. Medina, OH 44256.
