Zelma R. (Reger) Smith, 81, of Anderson, died peacefully with her family present on Oct. 31, 2017, at Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Anderson, the daughter of Floyd and Olive (Booth) Reger.
She worked production at Guide Lamp for 28 years.
She never met a stranger, she loved life and everyone was family. When she arrived into a room, the space lite up, everyone was in her light.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle "Shelley" Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Sharon Denson of Anderson; and longtime friends, Kathy and Jason Huxhold; companion, Charles A. Smith; several nieces and nephews including Dixie Eskew Emerson, Janet Pence and Cheryl Davidson; four grandpugs, Winston, Pandora, Gus and Priscilla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elda Thompson; brother, Floyd "Don" Reger; sister-in-law, Betty Reger; and brother, Byron Reger.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with the Rev. Gary Klinger of First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
