Lane Travis Crosson, age 23, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017. He was born May 17, 1994 in Winter Haven, FL to Travis Crosson and Kimberly Hardy and has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, FL. Lane was a graduate of Avon Park High School Class of 2012. He went on to play college baseball at South Florida State College and Webber University before transferring to UCF and then graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Warner University in July. Lane is survived by his Father – Travis and Dawn Crosson; Sisters – Mary Beth Crosson; Cassidy Beers; Kadie Crosson; Montana Beers; Brother – Bryndon Barton; Grandparents – Brenda Crosson; Larry Joe and Janet Hardy; Clay and Terry Gooch; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his Mother – Kimberly Hardy Barton and Grandfather – Richard Crosson. There will be an Ecumenical Memorial Service (non-denominational) on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church followed by a Celebration of Life gathering on the church grounds in the Grogan Center. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation that directly supports childhood cancer research in Dr. Theodore Johnson’s Pediatric Immunotherapy Program at Augusta University, which is where Lane’s cousin Jade Jackson is currently enrolled in his clinical trial.
