Ruth Edith Carpenter, age 81, of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky, died November 3, 2017, at Robertson County Health Care Facility, in Mt. Olivet. She was born in Highland County, Ohio, on July 2, 1936, to the late Glenn Workman and Mildred Holiday Workman.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Laura Jean Ellis; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Walker and Lois Mae McMillen. She is survived by: three sons, Robert W. Mann Jr., James Matthew (Ralpha) Mann and Mark Leslie (Cassie) Mann; four daughters, Mary Susan (Rick) Caldwell, Lisa Jo (Steven) Lemons, Patricia Jane (Michael) Sims and Heidi Ruth Reihing; a sister, Joann (Willard) Bohrer; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Pastor Derek Holmes, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Piqua Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Piqua Cemetery.
