Henry Marshall Nicholson 75, of the Forest Hill Community, died at 12:50 AM, Friday, November 3, 2017 at his home. Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Blake officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 PM Monday evening at Victory Baptist Church. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Marshall was born September 18, 1942 in Lamar County to Henry Harrison and Lila Gay Cockerham Nicholson. He graduated from West Lamar High School in Petty, Texas and married Connie Elizabeth Norman on June 29, 1962 in Paris. Mr. Nicholson farmed for many years in Lamar County and was a member of Maxey Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Connie Nicholson; three children, David Nicholson and wife, Denise, Daniel Nicholson and wife, Kenda, and Suzanne Nicholson; four grandchildren, Dustin Broadway, Joseph Nicholson, Ethan Nicholson, and Kori Blackshear; six great-grandchildren, Lillian Nicholson, Spur Nicholson, Marshall Bronc Nicholson, Liam Broadway, Emmett Broadway, and Kasyn Blackshear; one brother, Jimmy Don Nicholson; and two sisters, Inese Palmer and Mary Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Eugene Nicholson, Charles Nicholson, and Shirley Clark.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Nicholson, Ethan Nicholson, Dustin Broadway, Jordan Blackshear, Sam Thornton, Jason Moore, Jimmy Don Nicholson, and Paul Hostetler, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Kelly Massie, Tonie Moore, Marty Herman, Bill Wilson, and Larry Sherrill.
