Freddie "Lucky" Rogers, III passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 71.

Beloved companion of Jan Johnson. Devoted father of Jennifer and Chris Matrana and Nicole and John Romaire. Former husband of Linda Jacobsen Rogers.

Son of the late Lois and Freddie Rogers. Son-in-law of the late George and Rita Jacobsen. Brother of Wanda Haskell, Gary Rogers and the late Dennis Rogers.

Pop of Chris "C.J" Matrana (Taylor), Jena Romaire (Tyler), and Brady Romaire. Father figure to Stella and Jacque Ballay (Rusten, Cate, Sawyer), and Lillie and Cesar Nunez (Gabriella and Evie). Also survived by nieces, nephews and his beloved canine companion, Joel.

He was the proud owner of Lucky Rogers Express Car Care. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Wounded War Heroes, Patriot Guard Riders, and Samaritans Social Club.

In true "Lucky" fashion, a party will be held to celebrate his life on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 4pm until 7pm, at La Maison Creole, 1605 8th St., Harvey, LA. All are welcome.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to All Saints Hospice of Louisiana for their loving care, especially, Carla, Jennifer, Linda and Dey.
