Johnny Carson Yates, 74, a native of Koscuisko, MS and resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on October 24, 2017.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA from 11:00 am until the Service at 1:00 pm.

The burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Boudreaux Yates; daughter, Shelly Yates Neilson and husband William; step-sons, Rodd Naquin and wife Allison, Craig Naquin and wife Mitzi; brothers, Ronald Yates and wife Esmer and Donald "Deck" Yates and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Heath, William "Tray" and Megan Neilson; step-grandchildren, Ben, Mallory and Brady Naquin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert "Billy" Yates and Bonnie Holt Yates.

John, electrical inspector by profession, continued throughout his life to work on remodeling and construction. He loved his family and traveling. Papa John will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vietnam Veterans.
