Eddie E. Bishop, Sr., age 80, a 26 year resident of Garland, TX, passed away November 2, 2017. He was born August 11, 1937, in Hockley County, TX, to J.O. and Dora (Matthews) Bishop. Eddie was a member of Christian Family Church in Garland and the Lions Club. A good, Christian man, he was known for his hard work and dedication to his family. Eddie was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed tremendously.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Glenda Bishop; daughter: Janette Steinheimer and husband Steve of Garland; son: Eddie Bishop, Jr., and wife Lorrie of McKinney, TX; grandchildren: Amy Schelle and husband Dustin, Marissa Steinheimer, Kellie Worcester and husband Nate, Andrew Bishop and Katie Bishop; great grandchildren: Malcolm and Ruby Worcester; and brother: Gary Bishop and wife Sherry of Clyde, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Rita Killen.
