Frank Monroe Price, Jr., 85, husband of Antoinette (Toni) Price, of Beaufort, SC, died Monday, October 30, 2017 in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Price was born on August 2, 1932 in Jefferson City, MO. He is the son of the late Frank Monroe Price, Sr. and Opal Goss Price.

He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School of Shreveport, LA in 1951. He attended Centenary College in Shreveport, LA, as well at University of Texas, Houston and California Western where he earned both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Administration.

Frank was a Korean War Veteran and honorably served in the U.S. Navy for eight years from 1952-1960. He was also an Atomic Bomb Veteran and took park in operation “Castle” in the winter of 1954 in the Eniwetok Islands in the South Pacific. He also took part in Operation “Wigwam” in the Central Pacific in the Spring of 1955 and seven hydrogen detonations.

Frank worked in the L.P. Gas industry for 39 years. He was employed by Pyrofax Gas Corporation in Houston, TX and became VP of Field Operations in 1979. He later was employed by Public Service Propane, a subsidiary of Public Service Gas Corporation in Gastonia, NC as Senior Vice President. Frank served as President of the North Carolina Propane Gas Association in 1986.

His family brought him great joy, happiness and love.
