Survivors include his wife, Amy J. (Grindling) Cross of Elkhart; one daughter, Audrey Cross of Osceola; one son, Dakotah Ross of Winter Park, FL; mother, Cathy Goen of Greenville, TX; step-mother, Mary Cross of Edwardsburg, MI; two brothers, William (Netty) Crouch of Commerce, TX and James (Yolonda) Mola of Crown Point; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Jones-Mola; maternal grandparents, Otis and Sarah Kirby and Charlotte Hayes; paternal grandparents, George and Doris Coleman; two aunts, Vicki Summers and Vera Good and cousin, Samantha Kirby.
Following graduation from high school, Mark proudly served in the US Army.
Mark was previously employed as an instructor at Indiana University South Bend.
He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Pi Mu Epsilon.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 3rd from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Northside Baptist Church, 53198 County Road 9, Elkhart. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 11:00 AM at Northside Baptist Church with a visitation beginning one hour prior. Pastor Carl Henry will officiate. Interment will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
