Sylvia Lyle Ownley Long, 93, of Kinston passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Magnolia Cottage Care.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Linwood Long, her parents Henry and Lula Carr Ownley, brothers Joe and Larry Ownley, sisters Beatrice Ownley Pike and Alice Ownley.
Sylvia is survived by her sons Jeffrey L. Long and wife Susan of Kinston, Dr. Gary L. Long and wife Sharon of Radford, Virginia, four grandchildren Jason Long (Jessica) of Kinston, Landon Long of Kinston, Jessica Long of Radford Virginia and Nathan Long (Jill) of Browns Summit, NC as well as three great grandchildren, Dawsyn Long of Kinston and Riley and Colbie Long of Browns Summit, NC and her special nieces and nephews from Elizabeth City, NC and Virginia.
Graveside services will be held at Westview Cemetery on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11:00 with Reverend Rick Vernon officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service and at other times at the home of Jeffrey and Susan Long, 1916 Carey Road, Kinston, NC.
