Elizabeth A. "Betty" Brennan, 81, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday morning at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Ashville, April 7, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Modestus and Helen Sherry Weakland.
Betty was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. She was an officer for the Pottsville Catholic War Veterans Auxillary Post 1051, Pottsville Lionettes, and Ladies Ancient Order of Hiberians.
She graduated from Patton High School. Betty retired as a secretary from Pottsville Area School District after 22 years.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brennan, in 1994; a brother, Roy Weakland and his wife, Janet.
She is survived by her brothers, Patrick, husband of Mally Weakland, Boerne, Texas, Robert, husband of the late Deborah Weakland, Orchard Park, N.Y., Earl, husband of Barbara Ann Weakland, Ashville, and Harvey, husband of Linda Weakland, Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Stella Kline, wife of Paul, West Seneca, N.Y., Dorothy Teribury, wife of Gary, Canton, Ga., Verna Petrie, wife of Joseph, Hamburg, N.Y., and Edna Miller, wife of the late Jerry Miller, Patton; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville.
