Theodore L. White, son of Mary and Joseph White, was born in Wilkes-berry, Pennsylvania, May 31, 1847. At the age of ten years, he moved with his parents from the old home to Wisconsin, later going to Spring Creek, Iowa. There he met Mary Elizabeth Baldwin and they were married December 28, 1870. The following year, he and his bride moved to a homestead near Spencer, Iowa and at that time were pioneers in that section of the country. Here they reared their two children and carried on a successful farming career. In 1900, they moved into Spencer where He operated a livery stable and lived until 1910, and followed their 2 children west and settled in Sedro-Woolley to live a retired life. In 1917 his wife passed away and her ashes were taken back to be placed next to the grave of her father, Charles Coatsworth Pinkney Baldwin. He was a hale and hardy man until shortly before he passed away in Seedro-Woolley Washington, at the age of 90. His ashes were also sent back to Littleton Cemetery to be beside his wifes.
