Thomas “Eddie” Edward Simon, 53, of Liberty, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Houston, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 25, 1964 in Liberty, Texas to Mary Ann Woodral Raley and Lee Allen Simon, Sr.

Eddie was a hardworking man that lived his life like he wanted too. He had worked for Troy Construction and Liberty Metal for many years as a heavy equipment operator.

Eddie was a momma’s boy who loved his family dearly. He adored nothing more than to spend time with his kids and his grandkids. Eddie was always very ornery and was considered the protector of everyone. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father; his beloved wife of 25 years Jennifer Stubbs Simon; his sister Sharon Simon; his grandson Kaden Lampton; his nephew Anthony Simon; his maternal and fraternal grandparents.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Mary Ann Raley and husband Robert of Anahuac; his daughters Kesha Johnson and husband Brandon of Daisetta, Amanda Simon and husband Randy Fregia of Daisetta and Kandy Simon of Liberty; his seven grandchildren; his siblings Lee Simon, Jr. of Oak Island, Tammy DeRise and husband William of Anahuac, Angie Moulton of Cove, Damien Simon of Liberty and Robert Russell of Oak Island; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Smith, Randy Fregia, Joseph Smith, Brandon Johnson, Damien Simon and Bugg Sthram. Honorary pallbearer will be Kaleb Simon.

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 1pm on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Community Christian Fellowship, 442 Eagle Road, Oak Island, Texas.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2pm. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Anahuac Cemetery.
