Insurance Co., Fights Bixler's Heirs; Claims:
New Bloomfield, PA, Aug 20, 1915:
Is L. C. Bixler really dead, if he is not, where is he? This is a question that is bothering the heirs of Bixler, who is believed to have been burned at his home in Sandy Hill, during the late Spring. Heirs are having a difficult time collecting his insurance from the NY Life Insurance Co.,
The company alleges that satisfactory proof has not been presented, that Bixler died. Recently A. J.Pickford, an inspector of the company went to the scene of the fire, and with a number of men, cleaned out the debris, down to the cellar, but were unable to find any evidence of the body.
It seems that the remains, including some burnt bones, which were buried and supposed to be the sole remains of Bixler, have not satisfied the company as to his death.
