Joe B. Foster, age 84 of Vidor, Texas died Monday, October 30, 2017 at his residence.

A native of Huntington, Texas he was a longtime resident of Vidor.

Joe was a member and a deacon at Maple Crest Baptist Church in Vidor. He retired from BF Goodrich in Port Neches, Texas as a Supervisor and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Joe was a former member of the Optimist Club and was a past member of VISD school board. Joe was a poet and enjoyed gardening, but most of all he loved his dog Benji.

Visitation will begin at 6pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary Foster of Vidor, Texas, sons Curtis D. Foster and Penny of Vidor, Texas, Keith D. Foster and wife Julie of Mount Belvieu, Texas, Kyle S. Foster and wife Tara of Fred, Texas, his daughter Kristy D. Riggs and husband Chris of Vidor, Texas, sister Fleta Wyatt of Beaumont, Texas, brother Gary Foster of Wildwood, Texas, Kenneth Foster of Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren .
