Leaving to cherish her memory devoted and loving husband Claude Bernard Bates 33 years of Marriage; Two daughers- Nyelle Bates, Nydra (Jatarr) Bryant; Four grandchildren- Cameron, Destinee, Jatarr Jr., Makayla; Two Godsons Kerwin Johnson, Quentin Walker Jr.; Six Sisters Emma Corbitt, Linda Corbitt, Elizabeth McCorkle, Leola Corbit, Mary (Freddie Sr.) Lewis, Betty (Jimmy) Ashley; One brother Edgar (Carolyn) Corbitt; Four sister-in-laws and two brother-in-laws and a host of nieces and nephews.
Willie Jean was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist of Jackson, S.C. She was a graduate of Aiken High School and worked as a Nursing Assistant for many years.
