Winifred K. King June 20, 2010 Winifred K. King, 88, devoted mother and loving wife of the late Paul R. King, who died June 16, 2009, died Sunday at her home in Tully Valley. Born on Onondaga Hill, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Bertha Keehfus. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm, King's Royal Acres. She was a member of Cardiff United Methodist Church and a 1953 recipient of the Post-Standard Woman of Achievement Award in homemaking. She was also predeceased by a son, Neil Paul King, in 1959 and a grandson, Scott Lawrence Raison, in 1988. Winifred is survived by her four daughters, Linda (Larry) Raison of LaFayette, Sandra (Gary) Booher of Tully, Colleen (Peter) Carlton of Otisco and Paula (Bob) Thompson of LaFayette; one sister, Bernadine (Robert) Hebert of LaFayette; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, LaFayette, with her grandson, Rev. David Booher, officiating. Burial will be in Cardiff Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 2584 Field Lane. The family is deeply grateful to her caregivers and members of the PACE program, who provided her with outstanding comfort and care.
