Thomas C. Jacobsen

Thomas C. Jacobsen, 87, of Grant Park, IL, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the Miller Rehabilitation Center in Kankakee, IL.
He was born on December 24, 1929, in Chicago, IL, the son of Rasmus and Margarite Thompson Jacobsen.
He married Connie Garibay on July 5, 1958, in Chicago, IL.
She preceded himin death on November 11, 1992.
He is survived by his son; David Jacobsen and Lisa Rush of Elgin, IL. Four grandchildren; Kristin Jacobsen of Chicago, IL, Emily Jacobsen of Manteno, IL, Daniel Jacobsen of Elgin, IL, and Jonathan Jacobsen of Elgin, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Jacobsen. Herman Jacobsen, Elmer Jacobsen, and Roscoe Jacobsen, one sister; Edna Finke, and one son; Martin C.
Jacobsen.
He had retired from the Ford Motor Company as a quality control specialist, K-Mart salesman in the home improvement department, owned and operated a limousine and shuttle service - Star Fleet Shuttle, movie and TV extra, including the movie; Home Alone, as well as a published writer.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Momence, IL. A member of the Knights of Columbus – 4th degree, a member of the American Legion Post 39 in Peotone, IL and American Legion Post 7535 in Momence, IL.
He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Visitation Services will be from 4 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Cotter Funeral Home, 224 E. Washington St., Momence, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 119 N. Market St., Momence, IL., with the Rev. Dan Hessling officiating.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
