Jeffery Thomas Carter passed away on October 29, 2017 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.

Jeff was born on December 9, 1966 to Loran and Joyce Carter in Joliet, Illinois. In 1978, the family moved to Rochester, where Jeff graduated from Mayo High School in 1985.

Jeff loved computers, games and was a fan of science fiction movies and books. The Star Wars movies and series, without a doubt were his favorites.

Before the cancer caught up with him, he was employed by Bard in Stewartville.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce; brother, Mike; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Loran; two uncles, Joe Snider and Gary Snider; and one cousin, Andrew Snider.

A memorial service for Jeff will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Horntvedt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
