Lee Allen Ivy Sr., spouse of Hazel Beatrice Tanksley Ivy, sons, Lee Allen Ivy Jr. and Felix O'Neal Ivy, daughters; Myrtle Beatrice Ivy Smith and Ann Ivy Collier. He was left for dead in a small village in Italy after his entire unit was killed in a motor attack during WWII. When his unit entered a "Safe House" they all went directly to bed fully clothed. He sat on the floor to take off his boots and survived the explosion. When another group of soldiers were gathering the remains of his unit, they found him barely alive. When he returned to the States he became a Sharecropper in Winston County. He later moved to Hinds County where he later retired.
