Ms. Foster was born in 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Clark and Mary Morian. She was a graduate of The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Ms. Foster was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother raising three sons. She was educated and trained to be a classical singer and made her concert debut at Carnegie Concert Hall in 1953.
Ms. Foster was past president of Winchester Garden Club, volunteered with Blue Ridge Hospice and Belle Grove Plantation, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. She attended First Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Theodore Foster, II, whom she married on June 18, 1949 in Bartow, Pennsylvania preceded her in death in 2001.
Surviving are sons, Theodore Foster, II (Toddy) of Gulf Mills, Pennsylvania; Tucker Foster (Camela) of Nags Head, North Carolina; and Jonathan Foster (Pamela) of Winchester, Virginia; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Ms. Foster was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at The Village at Orchard Ridge Chapel with Chaplain Bill Boldin officiating. A reception will follow the service in the vestibule of the chapel.
