Christopher “Shawn” Hale, 42 years of age of Oakwood, VA, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Clark County Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY. Born January 19, 1975, in Richlands, VA, he was the son of Michael E. Hale of Oakwood, VA, and the late Teresa Gale Brown Hale.
In addition to his mother, Teresa Gale Brown Hale-November 5, 2010, he was preceded in death by two brothers Jeffery Alex Hale, August 16, 2013 and Benjamin Earl Hale, September 1, 2017, paternal grandmother, Ruth Hale, paternal grandfather, Earl Hale, maternal grandmother Helen Wilcox Read and her husband George Read, maternal grandfather Aubrey “Strawberry” Dale Brown, uncles Ronnie, Jimmy, Danny and Jerry Brown.
Survivors include his father Michael E. Hale and wife Wanda of Oakwood, VA; brother, Kevin Michael Hale of Oakwood, VA; maternal uncle, Eddie Brown of Pilgrims Knob, VA; paternal uncle, Kenneth Hale of Oakwood, VA; paternal aunts, Janie Wampler of Oakwood, VA and Angela Stevens of Front Royal VA; maternal aunts, Melanie Brown Burton of Castlewood, VA and Carla Brown Hurley of Pilgrims Knob, VA; and several special cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral service for Christopher “Shawn” Hale will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain, VA, Friday, November 3rd, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Brandon Estep and Reverend Jim Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Richlands, VA.
Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA, Thursday, November 2nd, after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
