The daughter of Elmer and Eileen Winfree Wilkerson, she married Cecil Donald Hunt on September 1, 1952. She was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in South Carthage. She attended Saint Thomas Nursing School in Nashville and served as a nurse in the office of the late Dr. Thayer S. Wilson.
