Services for Hazel Earline Andrews, 85, of Tyler, former longtime resident of Kilgore, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Kilgore with the Revs. Ernie Turney and Robert Carter officiating. Mrs. Andrews completed her earthly journey and went to her eternal home Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006.

Mrs. Andrews was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Crossroads to Alonzo Blanton and Mattie Rogers Hale. Earline graduated from Kilgore High School, Kilgore College and East Texas State University, where she earned a degree in teaching. She taught fifth grade in Kilgore for 39 years. Mrs. Andrews was married to O.H. Andrews for 44 years before he passed away in 1989. Together they raised five children who survive them. She was a longtime devoted member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church. "Ma" was a devoted mother and grandmother, who will be remembered with love, missed forever and grieved for with the certain knowledge that she is in a better place.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Kinney and Ruth Baton and six brothers, Rogers Hale, Stroud Hale, John Hale, Henry Hale, Quentin Hale and Travis Hale.
