COMANCHE - Funeral services for Jerry Steward, 69, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Comanche with the Rev. Van Christian officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche by Comanche Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Steward died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche. He was born Dec. 30, 1937, in Gorman to Evertt Eugene Steward and Lillie Belle Wilson Steward. He owned and operated a dairy in Comanche County for 30 years. He married Cherry Jones on May 23, 1959, in Comanche. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Comanche.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Paula and Steve Hedrick of Plainview and Malaina and Brandum Massingill of Lometa; one brother and sister-in-law, Gail and Sandy Steward of Comanche; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents and a brother, Harold Gene Steward, are deceased.

The family suggests memorials to Relay for Life, c/o Trina Aly, 14701 Highway 16 S., Comanche, TX 76442.
