Tandy Walker Allen of Miami, OK passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. He was 82.
Tandy was born December 9, 1934 in Tulsa, OK to Marcellus and Flay (Baker) Allen. He had lived in Miami for 61 years moving from Cleora. He graduated from Cleora High School and later received his Associate's Degree from NEO A&M College in Miami. He had worked for B.F. Goodrich for 25 years and was a Command Sgt. Major for Oklahoma National Guard retiring after 37 years of service. Tandy was a member and Deacon at First Baptist Church in Miami, OK, Lifetime member of the 45th Infantry Division 279th Brigade, Lifetime member of National Guard Assn. of Oklahoma , 5o year member of Miami Lodge No 140 AF&AM, 50 year 32 Degree Mason with Tulsa Scottish Rite Consistory, Akdar Shrine Temple in Tulsa, 5th Degree Team Tulsa Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Keith Allen.
He married Caroline "Corky" (Brady) Allen and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include his son Colby Allen and wife Debbie of Miami, OK, 3 grandchildren Brandi Keith, Daniel Allen and Matthew Allen, 3 great grandchildren Jett, Ketch and Sophia Tandy Keith.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Miami, OK. Rev. Rick Longcrier will officiate. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Miami Lodge No. 140 AF&AM and Military Honors will be conducted. Interment will be in McLaughlin Cemetery in Cleora, OK. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Memorials are suggested to Shriner's Children's Hospitals.
