Dr. Kenneth S. Rice, 86, of 250 West Buffalo St., died Monday August 1, 1977 in Manor Oak Nursing Home after a brief illness. Born in Gloucester, Mass., June 19, 1891, he resided in Warsaw since 1946 where he was a teacher in the Warsaw Central School System until retirement. He received his bachelor and masters degree in science and PhD from Brown University in Providence, R. I. He served as an instructor at the University of Georgia, Tufts University Medical School and the University of Maine before coming to Warsaw. He was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa national honor society in education, Sigma Xi national science honor society, Untied Church of Warsaw. Warsaw Kiwanis and was a former member of the Warsaw Board of Education. Survivors include his wife, the former Christine Zeh; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Ann) Duschen of Warsaw; 3 grandchildren. Weeks Funeral Home handled arrangements. Interment will be in Warsaw Cemetery.
