Mrs. Ballard, a native of Nansemond County, was a member of True Vine Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ellsworth J. Ballard; two daughters, Brenda F. Vann and Cheryl P. Nicholson, and a son, Alexander Davis III, all of Portsmouth; a sister, Lucy M. Woods of Suffolk; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul Holiness Church by the Rev. James Canady and Eldress Estelle Woods. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
