Edith Lobelia Harvey, 96, of Reedy Creek, WV loved by family and community passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her home of natural causes.

Born January 29, 1921 in Wilco, WV a daughter of the late George W. Collins (1878-Deceased) and Maudie Dunford-Collins (1883-Deceased), and the last surviving member of their twelve children.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Foster H. Harvey (1919-Deceased) whom she married on January 10, 1939 in Baileysville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1939, Page 549, Application Date: January 5, 1939); a son, Jerry Harold Harvey Sr. (1939-2014); and two sons-in-law Clarence E. Church (Deceased) and Edward E. Toler (Deceased).

Mrs. Harvey was a homemaker and precious mother. She raised and helped to raise five generations of children. They can all rise up and truly call her blessed. Many are the children and families who ate at her table and remember her kindness. She spent her adult life on Reedy Creek with her beloved husband, Foster.

She was a devout Christian, loved the Bible and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Those who survive her and are left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Donna Harvey-Church of Skin Fork and Barbara Ann Harvey-Toler of Fairdale; a daughter-in-law Wanda Golden of French Creek; six grandchildren, Jerry Harold Harvey Jr. and wife Geraldine Harvey of Lynco, Jess Harvey and wife Janie Harvey of Bolt, Jennifer Brooks and husband Chris Brooks of Glen Fork, David Church and wife Pam Church of Skin Fork, Larry Church and wife Nancy Church of Tampa FL, and Mylena Yee and husband Brian Yee of Fairdale

She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, Kris Church and wife Tonya Church of Clarksburg, Krystal Adams of Raleigh, and their mother Lisa Church of Raleigh, Mitch Harvey Golden of French Creek, Travis Harvey of Lynco, Jesslyn Harvey of Bolt, Isabella Yee, Abram Yee, Lexi Yee, Elise Yee, Ava Yee and Raina Yee all of Fairdale; three great great grandchildren Grayson Church and Carly Church of Clarksburg, and Kendall Golden of Welch; special friends Clint and Sharon Toler of Reedy Creek; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral is at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco with Rev. Glen Hatfield officiating. She will be laid to rest in Harvey Cemetery, Reedy Creek, WV.
