Jim was born on April 5, 1955, in Chicago, the son of John F. and Dorothy (Dugan) Sherry. Jim attended school in Chicago. On September 29, 2000 he married Karen Zimmermann at St. Johns’ Lutheran Church in Watertown. Jim was employed at Wisconsin Furniture Custom Shoppe as a purchasing manager for 21 years. Jim enjoyed golfing and spending time with family, especially the children who loved their “Jimmy”.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11AM at St John’s Lutheran Church, Watertown, with Pastor Rodney Warnecke officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 4-8PM and at the church on Thursday from 10AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim’s name may be given to St. John’s Lutheran School, Make A Wish, or charity of one’s choice.
Jim is survived by his wife, Karen of Watertown; his stepson Aaron (Lyn) Zimmermann of Watertown. His brother and sisters, Barbara (Eddie) Sherry of Brandon, FL, Sue (Tony) Kraemer of Watertown, Ray (Jenny) Sherry of Watertown, and Kathy (Dean) Loppnow of Ixonia; his father-in-law, Max Stueber of Watertown, and brother-in-law, Gary (Debbie) Stueber of Cottage Grove; nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Sherry and mother-in-law, Bernice Stueber.
