William "Bill" Taylor was born October 21, 1909 to George William Taylor and Janie Fuit Taylor. He married Marie Bjerke (Bjurke/Burke) in Preston, Idaho on June 12, 1933. He served in the U.S. Army from August 7, 1943 to October 23, 1945. He had a daughter, Gae.
He lived in Ogden most of his life, and lived in Salt Lake City for nine years. After Marie passed away in 1961, Bill married Leone Ellison on February 21, 1965.
As a young man, he worked as a laborer for the newspaper, and then became a baker. Eventually he became a fireman, which led to Bill becoming a shift leader with the General Services Administration (GSA) Freeport Center Fire Department in Clearfield, Utah where he mentored the incoming firemen. Bill died October 4, 1982 at nearly 83 years of age.
