Herbert Crosskill, 76, a retired Washington State Highway Department employee, died yesterday in the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Mr. Crosskill, 5448 E. Butte St., was a Mesa resident for seven years. He was born in Grand Rapids, N.D., and moved here from Lyle, Wash.
An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of American Legion Post 27 of Apache Junction. He worked for 35 years as section foreman for Washington State Highway Department.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary, with burial in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Alma; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Ashlock of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers and one sister out of state; six step-children and nine grandchildren.
