Mr. Jimmy Don Hunter, 65, of Dyersburg passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.

He was a long-time mechanic and also a forklift operator for S-R Products. He was a member of Holy Hills Baptist Church for over 25 years and enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher and bus driver for the children’s program. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two sons, Chris Hunter and wife, Camille of Dyersburg, Jonathan Hunter and girlfriend Jessica James of Gruetli Laager TN and a daughter, Amanda Hunter Hobson and husband Josh of Medina, three grandchildren, Colton Hunter and Brody and Livia Hobson.

He leaves six brothers: Bill, Joe, Gerald, Herman, Mike and Gary Hunter and two sisters, Maxine Whitehead and Sandra Kinnick, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Autrey Hunter and a brother Howard Betty.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at Holy Hills Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 at Holy Hills Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Dennis Knowles and Mr. Billy Tucker with interment to follow at Archer’s Chapel Cemetery in Frog Jump, Tn.
