Mrs. Velma R. Jackson -Wilson, 94, passed on October 22, 2017 in Wichita Falls, TX. She was born on July 25, 1923 in Ladonia, Texas to the late Shell and Bertha Jackson. She was a 1942 graduate from the Historic Booker T. Washington High School in Wichita Falls. She married was to Thomas Wilson for over Forty Years. Velma was a homemaker and an excellent cook, that loved to try out new recipes.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Wilson, her parents; Shell and Bertha Jackson and her brother; Shelvey Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her Daughters; Shirley Hughes- James of Wichita Falls, TX., Joyce Scott of Petersburg, VA., Doris & James Jackson of Maryland. Her Grandchildren; Kimberly, Kelvin, Leon, Linda, Cheryl, Sherri, Darryl and Eight Great- Grandchildren.

Special Thanks to Hospice of Wichita Falls and Dr. Kong for their excellent care and compassion.

Graveside Services were held on Wednesday at Crestview Memorial Park. Services By: Ainsworth & Young Funeral Home.
