Obituary:
Ralph Everett Forrest, aged 83 years, of Carver, died on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Josephine W. (Benson) Forrest of Carver. Born in New London, CT; he was the son of the late Raymond and Evelyn Mae (Shepard) Forrest. He served in the United States Army, during the Korean conflict, from 1951-1953. Ralph was a boat painter at Plymouth Marine for over 25 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2188, Middleboro. Survivors include his wife, Josephine, three sons, Randy Forrest of Merryville, Washington, William Forrest and David Forrest, both of Rapid City, South Dakota; a daughter, Kathy DeVries of Elkington, South Dakota, brothers, Ronnie, Robert, Richard, and Raymond Forrest; sisters, Shirley Niehouse, Helen Bandlow, Audrey Hryzen, and Ruth McElroy, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
