Long life Gary, Indiana resident (1948 - 2017) Lillie P. Turner formerly of Birmingham, AL died peacefully at her home on October 22, 2017 at the age of 89. Lillie was born on December 5, 1927 to the late Rufus and Willie Cash. She was a devoted and faithful member of Israel Metropolitan CME Church for over 65 years. Preceding Lillie in death are her loving husband, Edward Turner, Sr.; daughter Cynthia F. Turner-Malone; two brothers, Buddy and Charlie Cash; and sister, Lucy Stalworth. Lillie is survived by one devoted son, Edward E. (Gloria) Turner, Jr.; one grandson, Edward E. Turner, III; one granddaughter, Sydney, all of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Thursie Frost of Detroit; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Family Hour - 10:30 a.m. Memorial Service - 11:00 a.m., October 28, 2017, Israel Metropolitan CME Church, 2301 Washington Ave., Gary, Indiana 46407; Interment immediately following service at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 4450 Harrison Street, Gary, Indiana 46408.
