Barbara Leah Streeper Harmon, age 80 of Ammon, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Gables of Ammon.
Barbara was born August 22, 1937 in Clark, Idaho, to Raymond Randall Streeper and Martha Leah Dutson Streeper. She attended Rigby schools. On February 14, 1953, she married Harvey Glen Harmon in Ririe. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple February 14, 1963. They made their home in Moses Lake Washington and were blessed with two sons and a daughter. In addition to being a wife and mother, Barbara worked as a Medical Transcriptionist. In 1979 she and her family moved to Nampa, Idaho where they lived for 26 years. After retiring, she and Glen made their home in Ririe, Idaho.
Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of The Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, painting and quilting. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Barbara was very knowledgeable in her family history and loved doing genealogy.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Harmon, of Ammon, sons, Randall Glen (Dalene) Harmon, of Mesa, Arizona, Jeffrey Allen (Meri Linn) Harmon, of Central, Colorado, her daughter, Lori Ann Greer of Ammon 17 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Raymond Randall Streeper Jr., Garth Streeper, sister, Dawn Summers, a son-in-law, Larry Greer and a daughter-in-law, Karen Harmon.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Ririe LDS Stake Center 14061 North 130 East, Ririe, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Friday, prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
