He was the son of Arthur Laplante and Alphonsine Lefebvre, and a resident of Franklin NH at the time of his WWI Registration.

The 1919 Franklin NH Annual Reports Shows: Body Brought Back for Burial--1918=--Sept 28-died Camp Upton - soldier - Amede Laplante, age 24 b Canada, parents b. Canada Arthur Laplante and Alphonsine Lefebvre.

1920 Franklin City Report: "Laplante, Amede. Private, 12th Co., 152nd Depot Brigade, Camp Upton N.Y. Enlisted Sept 5, 1918. Died from pneumonia, Camp Upton NY, Sept. 28, 1918"

His death certificate shows he was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin NH on 2 October 1918.
