Billie Jo Ward, 85 of Lubbock went to be with her Lord on October 27, 2017. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Sanders Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, November 1, 2017, 10:00 AM at Kings Ridge Church of Christ with burial following at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
Billie was born on October 16, 1932 in Fort Worth to Mabel and Moody Walker. Billie graduated from Lubbock High in 1951. She has been a member of Milwaukee Avenue Church of Christ for over 45 years. She retired from Lubbock ISD and a longtime housewife. Billie found great joy in serving the church and her family.
She is survived by husband, Jim Ward of Lubbock; daughters, Kathi Anderson and husband Clint of Wentzville, MO., Donna Justiss of Lubbock, Renee Smith and husband Keith of Lubbock, Jamie Duncan of Lubbock; sons, Keith Ward of Lubbock, Russ Ward and wife Kay of Fort Worth, Lance Ward and wife Jamie of Lubbock; Eleven grandchildren and Four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Billie was preceded in death by late-husband James Duncan, parents Mabel and Moody Walker, brother, Glen Walker and sisters Lola Harris and Jean Brunson.
Billie was well loved and missed by all who knew her.
