Lisa Joyce (Byrd) Simmons, age 51, of Kingdom City, Missouri passed away at her home on October 14, 2017.
Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery near Fulton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Lisa was born on February 5, 1966 in Mexico, Missouri to Charles Byrd and Linda Fox.
Lisa attended Fulton Elementary School and North Callaway High School. She lived with her father and step-mother for eight years in Fulton, Missouri before moving in with her mother. She had worked for many years in Kingdom City at Gaspers and Westland.
She enjoyed playing games and eating mutton at her Uncle Gene Lepleys and playing with her cousins. Her greatest joy came from attending family gatherings and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her father, Charles (Marsha) Byrd of Fulton, Missouri; mother, Linda Browning of Fulton, Missouri; daughters, Danielle Simmons of Platte City, Missouri, Emily Simmons of Kingdom City, Missouri, Makayla Garriott of St. Louis, Missouri, Marissa Hoffmeister of Fulton, Missouri and Tara Garriott of Mexico, Missouri; step-daughters, Tara (Jered) Crawford and Casey (John) Bishop both of Auxvasse, Missouri; fiancé, Johnnie Duckworth of Kingdom City, Missouri; brother, Michael "Dusty" Byrd of Calwood, Missouri; sisters, Michelle "Shelly" (Byrd)Schroer and Angela Browning both of Fulton, Missouri; along with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
