Jack Bailey, 75, of Waco, TX, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at his residence surrounded by family.


Visitation & Funeral Service will be on Friday, February 11, 2022, starting with visitation at 5:00 pm with the service directly after at 6:00 pm at Waco Memorial Funeral Home with Deacon Greg George officiating.


Jack was born July 31, 1946, in Waco, Texas, to Melvin Jackson Bailey Sr. and Vivian Needham Bailey. He attended Richfield High School and earned a Baseball Scholarship to Sul Ross College. In, I966 he met Donna Smith of Waco and had 53 years of blissful marriage. Together they enjoyed numerous trips, visiting several beautiful destinations around the world.


He retired from T. U. Electric in 1990, at which he then traveled to Saudi Arabia to begin a new adventure with his wife, Donna & daughter, Jennifer. Jack loved being outdoors, attending all his grandchildren's sporting events, BBQing, playing cards, and watching old westerns. His passion was coaching & umpiring baseball, and softball & enjoyed his Dallas Cowboys. Jack never seemed to meet a stranger and always spread love, joy & laughter with his infectious smile.


He leaves behind his wife, Donna Bailey; children, Tracy Bailey and wife, Krystal, grandchildren, Lexis Jane & Logan Jackson Bailey; Michael and wife Brandy Bailey; daughter Jennifer Dawson and grandchildren, Craig Dawson Junior and Julia Jaclyn-Marie Dawson.
