Bobby G. Sims, 81, of Raytown, MO passed away October 26, 2017. Visitation will be held October 30, 2017 at 9:00 am, with funeral services at 10:00 am at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial at Floral Hills East, Lee's Summit.

Bobby married Mary Stowe on June 7, 1958 at the home of Hugh Stowe in Ft. Worth, TX. He was a loving husband and father to Mary and her sons, Jeff, David and Darryl. He served as a scout master for Troop 341 for over 5 years. He saw his three sons and two grandsons all obtain Eagle Scout rank. He was a Sachem in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and was given the Heart of America Council District's Award of Merit in 1983. He was honored to have Troop 341's April 24th, 1988 Eagle Court of Honor in his name.

Once he and Mary became empty nesters, they started the annual tradition of cooking breakfast on Christmas morning for all of their friends. He and Mary were avid square dancers and shared a love of Colorado. He had a love for reading Louis L'Amour, John Grisham, and Clive Cussler, along with many others. His other hobbies were traveling, hunting, fishing, and barbecuing for the family. He was famous for his ribs that have been a longstanding family tradition. He started his own business, Zip Pneumatics in 1967. This business is still run by the family today, now in its 50th year.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Mary of 59 years. He is survived by his children, Jeff (Karen), David (Debra), Darryl (Janette); brother Billy Sims of Biloxi, MS; grandchildren Tony Ginestra (Caitlin), Kerri Swick, Sean Sims (Shelby), Alyssa Wolfe (Adam), Matthew Sims (Paige), Ann Gorsuch, Jacob Sims, Dirk Sims and 6 great grandchildren.
