Fairy Louise (Yancey) Ostheimer Nugent, 88, died at 12:14 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in the St. Elizabeth Medical Center emergency room. She had been a resident of Rosewalk Commons the past year. Born July 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late A. Earl and Bessie Armantrout Yancey. She was a 1936 graduate of Jefferson High School.
Her first marriage was in 1938 to Lawrence Ostheimer, who died in 1947. She married Homer M. Nugent in 1948, and he died in 1984.
Mrs. Nugent was a stenographer for L&N Railroad, formerly Monon Railroad, retiring in 1972. She was a member of First Christian Church of Lafayette, and she enjoyed crafts and bingo.
Surviving are two sons, Paul L. Ostheimer (wife Linda) of Lafayette and William L. Ostheimer (wife Sharon) of Renton, WA; two stepdaughters, Betty Jesse and Geneva Werner; ten grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, three great-grandsons; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Preceded in death by two stepsons, two brothers, and one sister.
