BRIDGES - Carole Bernardo, 57, of 709 Grant Street, Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, January 14, 1997, at 7:50 p.m. in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown.

She was born June 8, 1939, in North Belle Vernon, a daughter of the late Santo and Theresa Rizzutto Bernardo.

A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area, she was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, and a member of Woman of the Moose.

Survivors include her husband, Roger L. Bridges; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Dianne) Bombara of Belle Vernon, and Kimberly Bridges of Fallston, Maryland;Brothers: Cataldo Bernardo of Belle Vernon, Santo Bernardo Jr. of Los Angeles, California, and Richard Bernardo of Coraopolis; one sister-in-law, Rose Klochak Bernardo of Belle Vernon; and two grandchildren, Dane and Christopher Bombara.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Bernardo Sr..

Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonardo J. Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. The Leonardo J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
