He was a son of Ross B. and Tressa M. (Weaver) STOCKWELL.

Ross was a 1943 graduate of North Baltimore High School, and became a member of the 50 year club.

He was a husband of Pauline M. (Fry); she died in 1991. He later married Sylvia {Wymer) on 1994.

Ross has a son named William R. STOCKWELL; step-sons, Michael D. WYMER and Edward A. WYMER; step-daughters, Vickie J. WYMER and Bobette L. WYMER.

Ross was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 42 years. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, North Baltimore and the North Baltimore American Legion 539. He was the past President of both the North Baltimore Lions Club and the North Baltimore Little League Association, where he was also a former coach. Ross was voted the 1999 North Baltimore Citizen of the Year. He currently was the author of the Humor Wit and Wisdom column in the North Baltimore News.

Full military rites where be conducted by the North Baltimore American Legion Veterans Memorial Squad 539.
