Gilbert H. Thomas, 72 years, of Medaryville, IN, passed away October 26, 2017. On December 16, 1944, Gilbert was born to Henri and Maria (Raic) Thomas in France. He was a railroad cop at Bethlehem Steel. He married Linda Walker. Gilbert served in the U.S. Navy. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Chris, Bobby (Peggy), Kim and Kevin; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother, Marcel; sister Simone.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Gilbert will take place at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. (CST) with Pastor Paul Gritten officiating. Interment at Marion National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
