Virginia Reynolds, 89, of Grayson passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born December 22, 1927 in Grahn, KY; a daughter of the late Willie Sturgill and Emma Wilson Sturgill Sparks.
She was a housewife, mother and had been a bus monitor in the Carter County School System. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grayson.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Richard Bishop and Gene Reynolds; a sister, Ida Mae Riffe and a brother, Woodrow Strugill.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Glenda) Bishop and Keith (Jill) Bishop; two daughters, Kathy (David) Flatt and Charlotte Griffith all of Grayson.
Six grandchildren; Twila, Brent, Casey, Shanna, Coty, and Lauren; twelve great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home, Willie Sturgill and Josh Schmidt, ministers. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Coty Stephens, Brent Griffith, Chris Riffe, Greg Sturgill, Kevin Sturgill, Jimmy Keith and Mike Burke.
