Patsy Ruth Stephens, 78 passed away peacefully Monday, October 23, 2017 in Chattanooga surrounded by her dear friends.

She was born on November 9, 1938 on a farm in Lockney, Texas to Delbert and Lois Bybee and was the youngest of nine children. Patsy was married to Bill Stephens in 1958 and was a loving stay at home mother of three boys, Roger Wayne, Randall Scott, and Ricky Lynn.

Patsy was a wonderful grandma who enjoyed playing soccer in the back yard and coloring pictures in the quiet afternoon. She lived in the Denver, Colorado area for over 40 years before moving to Chattanooga with her dear friend Dorothy (Dot) Morrison. Dot and her family cared for Patsy and served as her second family. Patsy loved the Lord and joyfully attended Silverdale Baptist Church.

Patsy was preceded in death by her son Roger in 1995 as well as her brothers, Archie, Wayne, Billy, and Donald, and her sisters Leona, Mary Ann, and Betty.

Patsy is survived by her sister, Fredda Bybee, Dallas, TX; son, Randy Stephens, his daughters, Alexis and Kira, and her son, Ricky Stephens, his wife, Dana, and their three children Tanner, Kate, and Natalie.

A memorial service will be held at 7 P. M., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 P. M., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Rd.
