Burdette graduated from Blanchester High School in 1955. He later served in the US Army from 1957-1960. He served on the Blanchester School Board and retired from Cincinnati Milacron after 36 years.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Jean (nee Mobley) Osborne; a son Tim Osborne; grandchildren, Kayla Osborne, Chase Osborne, Noah Osborne, Ben Krekeler and Kyle Krekeler; step-children, Doug (China) Grant and Scot (Leah) Grant; son-in-law Don Harris; step-grandchildren, Maggie Grant, Molly Grant, Dakota Heeg, Lane Heeg and Ian Heeg; nieces, Sharon Cooper and Pam (Ronnie) Pierson; a nephew Terry Cooper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Laurel Krekeler Harris; and his sister Betty J. (Bud) Cooper.
Private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
